To strengthen our growing portfolio of (international) projects, we are urgently looking for a Project Manager with experience in the defense or high-tech sector. 

 

Job Description 

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination, execution, and reporting of complex projects in the field of defense and security. You will work on national and international (consortium) projects in which governments, research institutions, and industrial partners collaborate on innovative solutions. 

You will monitor progress, quality, finances, and collaboration, ensuring that strategic goals are translated into concrete results. 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Project Management & Coordination 

  • Lead consortium and innovation projects in defense, or security.  
  • Apply Agile methodologies to manage project execution, ensuring flexibility and iterative progress.  
  • Translate project objectives into concrete work packages, deliverables, and timelines.  
  • Monitor progress, risks, budgets, and quality.  
  • Organize and chair project meetings, reviews, and progress sessions.  
  • Coordinate communication between partners, suppliers, and internal teams.  

 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Collaborate with defense organizations, research institutes, startups, and industrial partners.  
  • Maintain relationships with project partners, funding bodies, and ministries both nationally and internationally.  
  • Prepare progress reports and financial overviews for consortium members and funding agencies.  
  • Support tender and grant application processes.  

 

Strategic Contribution 

  • Contribute to the development of new partnerships and innovation proposals.  
  • Translate technological innovations into applicable solutions for operational end-users.  

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management within high-tech, defense, or R&D environments.  
  • Proven experience working with Agile methodologies. 
  • Experience with complex projects, innovation programs, or public-private collaborations.  
  • Familiarity with grant or innovation programs.  
  • Preferred: Knowledge or experience with Counter-UAS. 
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.  
  • Proactive, independent, and effective in stakeholder management.  
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. 

 

Employment Type 

This position is open as a permanent role or as an external hire 

Project duration for external hire: approximately 6 months.
